Many Happy Returns
| It
seems as though the Village has died. The voices still, the houses empty,
the shops closed. Escape seems assured for The Prisoner as there is nobody
to stop him and nobody on guard when he pushes out to sea.
After several ordeals, The Prisoner finds himself surprisingly back in England. He is interrogated thoroughly but he still is not offered any explanation of the Village. Who runs it? Why does it exist? Apparently free, The Prisoner searches to discover the truth. This episode again deals with the central theme of the profound question "Wherein does freedom lie?" |
