A new technique of speed learning is introduced to the Village by a brilliant professor. By imposing a high speed subliminator directly to the cortex of the brain, vast amounts of information can be mastered in a matter of moments.

Everyone in the village is ordered to attend the "lecture" classes of the professor and only one member resists: The Prisoner.
